WAR THUNDER CDK
Configuring a War Thunder Sight BLK File
A practical editing guide for .blk. Use Install Custom Sights for a finished file.
Structure and types
Use block { parameter:type = value }; blocks may contain nested blocks. t is text, r real, i integer, b boolean, and p2/p3/p4 hold 2/3/4 values. A wrong type or nesting level can make a field unreadable.
| Parameter | Type | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| crosshairHorVertSize | p2 | overall size |
| crosshairColor | c | RGBA color |
| fontSizeMult / lineSizeMult | r | text / line scale |
| drawCentralLineVert/Horz | b | center lines |
Simple BLK Example
crosshairHorVertSize:p2=3, 2
fontSizeMult:r=1
lineSizeMult:r=1
drawCentralLineVert:b=yes
drawCentralLineHorz:b=yes
crosshairColor:c=0, 0, 0, 0
crosshair_distances {
distance:p3=200, 0, 0
}
drawLines {
line {
line:p4=0, -2, 0, 2
move:b=no
}
}
crosshairHorVertSize sets size; drawCentralLineVert enables the vertical center; line:p4 is X1,Y1,X2,Y2; distance:p3 adds a range entry.
Drawing elements
drawLines uses line:p4; +X right, -X left, +Y down, -Y up. drawTexts pairs text with pos:p2. drawQuads uses tl, tr, br, bl; the template may include thousandth:b. crosshair_hor_ranges contains range:p2. Keep ballistics/bullet fields such as bulletType, speed, distancePos and textPos aligned with the official template. matchExpClass supports exp_tank, exp_heavy_tank, exp_tank_destroyer and exp_SPAA.
Practice
Add one line
Open the .blk, find drawLines, duplicate a line, edit X1/Y1/X2/Y2, save and test. Before: line:p4=0, -2, 0, 2. After: line:p4=4, -1, 4, 1.
Change color
Change crosshairColor:c=0, 0, 0, 0 to crosshairColor:c=1, 0, 0, 0. Keep a backup and verify in a test drive.
Test in a test drive, then press Alt+F9 to refresh game data. Official War Thunder Wiki
